Nagaland church member has ‘vision’ of Umiam dam burst


SHILONG: Members of the Revival Baptist Church in Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland continued to fast and pray after a member of the group had a chilling ‘vision’.

A church member in Nagaland had a vision of the Umiam Dam near Shillong in Meghalaya exploding and taking a heavy toll in lives and property.

The prophecy came to one of the prayer warriors among a group of 24 as they prayed for their own agenda, Shillong Times reported.

The prayer group reportedly said they had no idea about the roadblock and it was not discussed before prayer time.

The Church’s prayer group plans to visit Umiam Dam on August 30 to intercede on its behalf and pray for the safety of people residing in areas below the dam.

Notably, the Umiam Dam near Shillong in Meghalaya is one of the oldest hydroelectric power generation structures in the North East.

According to reports, the life of the Umiam dam has been reduced by at least five years due to pollution and siltation. It is expected to be completed by 2024.
